Creative Resource Recommendations | Part One

As a digital illustrator and designer, part of my job is to keep up to date with trends and products in my industry. I run shops on a few different marketplaces and as a result I get to see many wonderful and unique design resources on a daily basis. I’ve decided to start a series here on the blog: Creative Resource Recommendations, where I will occasionally share links to hand-picked creative products that you might like.

While I can’t personally vouch for every single product, I will only share resources from designers and artists I know of and whose quality I trust. I will also only share resources from the marketplaces where I sell my own products (i.e. those I trust!).

Illustrations

Soft Muse Art released these gorgeous feminine celestial graphics back in February 2020. I love the hand-drawn style and many intricate details. These make a fantastic resource for any feminine branding or design projects.

Lisa Glanz has such a lovely and whimsical style that really stands out from a lot of resources out there. This Personalised Portrait Creator is an incredibly useful tool, enabling you to design and use your own custom compositions that are personal and unique to you.

The Terra resource set by Annie Konst combines playful, hand-drawn graphics with beautiful textures and organic lines. The set comes with many different elements and feels down-to-earth and friendly.

Animated Graphics

January Bloom is a watercolour-themed off-shoot of the amazing Ana & Yvy, an illustrator and designer based in Germany whose work always comes with a soft, delicate and feminine feel. They recently created these stunning animated watercolour graphics with gold foil accents. The animated element will no doubt make your products and designs pop!

Patterns

This 180 pattern strong set by Twinbrush Image Forge makes it easy to find the perfect pattern for your creative project. The style is modern with an organic, hand-drawn vibe that’s popular right now.

This lovely pattern bundle by Tatiana Karpenko is designed with kids in mind, with over 170 charming, hand-drawn patterns including dinosaurs, wild animals and rainbows. Every single pattern is just gorgeous so I recommend a thorough look through them.

Social Media

If you’re looking for modern and elegant Pinterest post templates, this set by Silver Stag is an excellent choice. The designs are fresh and light, wonderful for feminine brands looking to boost their Pinterest traffic and reach.

The Creative Writers Instagram template kit by September 5th allows you to create a cohesive, earthy and beautiful Instagram feed with matching Stories. I love the natural and warm the colour options. They feel friendly and approachable.
